Snapshots

My watch just buzzed.  I look down to see that both Yngrid and Yasmine, girls from the Davis Lar, are messaging me questions from Brazil; they need my life story for a school project, down to the color of my dad’s suit when HE was married!  I don’t know why, I just know I am grateful that God continues to use me in their lives. Their primary request is to share my story, which I call My Snapshot.  Paul Jimenez told me that proof of God’s existence is in changed lives. I re-read my story and am amazed at all the proof!  (Request an emailed Snapshot with a personal update at KPA@clemson.edu.) But for now, to business and adventure-and watches buzzing!  Let’s Dance!

Calgary – International Conference

ACTION International Conference.  United States, Brazil, Colombia and India represented in this pic.  I count for two countries after 17 years in Brazil!

ACTION’s International Conference was stellar.  I was appointed the International Coordinator of Children in Crisis and enjoyed meeting many of the people I am to serve and encourage while learning what is happening in other countries regarding orphan care. Many orphanages are being shut down, so to be able to care for children missionaries are becoming creative. Instead of calling their home an orphanage, “Joe and Jane” (names and country undisclosed) now run a “school” and a “boarding house”. Another location has had to find homes for all of the children in their care but follow up is difficult and children are ending up back on the streets.  Pray for orphan care worldwide, and that the nations wake up to the reality of the need!

Children in Crisis

I am thrilled to lead Children in Crisis. A part of what we do is fund child and youth centered projects sharing Christ across the globe.  This year we funded projects in Angola, Brazil, Cuba, Colombia, Nepal, Paraguay, Ukraine, Uganda, South Africa and the Philippines. Pray for increased donations for these many wonderful works and our wisdom as we review projects. CAFO and Clemson

Research can take years to put into practice.  Today’s abandoned and abused children cannot wait! While continuing my studies and research through Clemson, I am working with Christian Alliance for Orphans. I am excited to contribute to the work and research done as well as learn from the many that strive to care for children in Christ’s name. Pray for me as I share, teach, train, write and learn! (Below- McDonald’s Day-Philippines)

FOCUS – Yours is coming!

FOCUS is an ACTION quarterly newsletter that highlights the story of how God changed a child’s life.  Writing and publishing this story is my responsibility!  Currently I am learning more of the conquests and needs in Zambia. Pray as I finish publication.  The goal is not to fund raise, but to create awareness. It’s what I like to do! If you would like to learn more about Children in Crisis, the Davis Lar, or Orphan Care, contact me!  Info below.

PRAYERS AND THANKS!

Can I thank you enough for being “with me”?  No, I cannot!  I thank you for prayer, love, friendship and support as we- you, me and believers across the globe- continue to serve and reach the “least of these” in Christ’s name.  (I sort of want to stand up here and do a cheer!)           Com carinho, Paige
